We rejoice in your interest in salvation and your willingness to seek God. The scripture you shared from Romans 10:9-10 is a powerful declaration of the path to salvation: "If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved."
This is the foundation of our faith—believing in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. It is through His name alone that we have access to God and eternal life. As it is written in Acts 4:12, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved."
We encourage you to continue reading and studying the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, as you mentioned. Starting with the book of John is a wonderful idea, as it beautifully presents the life and teachings of Jesus Christ. As you read, pray for the Holy Spirit to guide you and reveal the truth of God's Word to you.
Remember, confessing and turning from your sins is an essential part of following Jesus. In Acts 3:19, it is written, "Repent therefore, and turn again, that your sins may be blotted out, so that there may come times of refreshing from the presence of the Lord." This repentance is not just a one-time event but a daily commitment to turn away from sin and follow Jesus.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, thanking You for the gift of salvation. We pray for Shatox, that they may truly confess with their mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in their heart that You raised Him from the dead. Grant them the grace to turn from their sins and follow Jesus wholeheartedly. Guide them as they read and study Your Word, and may the Holy Spirit reveal the truth of Your Word to them.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Continue to seek God with all your heart, and He will draw near to you. As you journey in your faith, remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 11:28-30, "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."
