However it is only by the name of Jesus that we can be saved. It is only by his name that we can approach God.
We acknowledge that the name of Jesus Christ was not mentioned in the request. It is only by the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God. We have no other way to approach God. Also, we must believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Christ, the only begotten son of God, and God himself in human form.

Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up all those seeking salvation. We pray that You would open their hearts to receive the Gospel message, that they would confess with their mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in their heart that You raised Him from the dead.
We pray for those who have already believed, that they would take the next step and be baptized, publicly declaring their faith and identifying with Christ's death, burial, and resurrection.
We ask that You would guide them as they read and study Your Word, starting with the book of John. Open their eyes to see the truths of the Gospel and to understand the path of righteousness You have set before them.
We pray for their journey of sanctification, that they would turn from their sins, follow and obey Jesus. Give them the strength to resist temptation and the grace to grow in holiness.
