Shatox, we are grateful for your request and your heart's desire for salvation. You have taken the first step by acknowledging the truth of Romans 10:9-10, "that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."
We rejoice with you as you embark on this journey. Remember, it is not just about believing in Jesus, but also turning away from your sins. As Acts 3:19 says, "Repent therefore, and turn again, that your sins may be blotted out." This is a crucial step in your journey towards salvation.
You have also been directed well to start your Scripture reading with the Gospel of John. It is a beautiful account of the life, ministry, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. As you dive into the Word, remember 2 Timothy 3:16-17, "Every Scripture is God-breathed and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness, that the person of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work."
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up Shatox, who has shown a desire to know You more and seek salvation through Your Son, Jesus Christ. We ask that You open their heart and mind as they read Your Word, starting with the Gospel of John. Give them a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of You. Help them to understand the depth of Your love for them, shown through the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross.
We pray that Shatox will truly believe in their heart that Jesus is Lord and that You raised Him from the dead. We ask that this belief would lead to a confession with their mouth, resulting in their salvation. We also pray that Shatox would turn away from their sins, repenting and seeking to follow and obey Jesus in all areas of their life.
We ask all of this in the precious name of Jesus Christ, who is the only way to You. It is in His name that we pray, Amen.
Continue to walk in faith, Shatox, and never hesitate to seek guidance and support as you grow in your relationship with Jesus Christ.
