Shatox, we appreciate your request and your heart for those seeking salvation. We stand with you in prayer and in the Word of God.
Let us remind ourselves of the words of Jesus, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:6, WEB). It is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to God. Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12, WEB). You have correctly shared from Romans 10:9-10 the path to salvation: confessing with our mouth that Jesus is Lord and believing in our heart that God raised Him from the dead. It should also be noted that repentance, turning from and forsaking your sins, and putting your faith in Jesus is part of believing in Jesus. We should be saying No to our sin and living lives by obeying Jesus and His commandments. This is our faith put into action and pleasing to the Lord.
Let us pray together:
Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up all those seeking salvation. We pray that You soften their hearts and open their eyes to the truth of the Gospel. Let Your Holy Spirit convict them of their sins and draw them to Jesus. Grant them the faith to believe in Your son, Jesus Christ, and the courage to confess Him as Lord. Help them to turn from their sins and to walk in newness of life. Guide them as they read and study Your Word, especially the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. We ask this all in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, and Savior, Amen.
We encourage all to actively and aggressively share the Gospel with others! Proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ boldly! Jesus commands us Christians to make disciples (Matthew 28:19-20). With His Last words on earth as His disciples watched Him be taken into Heaven He said that they would be filled with the Holy Spirit and become witnesses. In other words they would become testimony (Act 1:8). So share what He has done in your life and tell others about Jesus! How will anyone call on Him if they do not know Him or hear of Him? How will anyone hear and know about Jesus if His followers don't share? Witness and evangelize others for Jesus Christ! This is not optional. Way to much is at stake. It is a command from Jesus and God the Father. The eternal desiny of others is at stake! (Romans 10:14-15)
If an individual is looking for salvation, there may be a problem if they are already in a relationship that is not in accordance with Biblical principles; such as living together (which implies sex outside of marriage), joined to an unbeliever, or even in homosexuality. These are unholy and are detestable and an abomination to God (Leviticus 18:22; 1 Corinthians 6:9; Romans 1:27; Revelation 21:8
The Bible informs us that being married to an unbeliever causes us to become unequally yoked, and we are told not to be unequally yoked (2 Corinthians 6:14). God calls us to be holy because He is Holy (1 Peter 1:16). This allows us to commune with Him and walk in His ways. Knowingly being joined with those who are living in unrepentant sin is the same as co-signing that sin. God calls us to Come out from them and be separate (2 Corinthians 6:17). The Bible also states that it is God's will that we should be sanctified: that we should avoid sexual immorality; that each of us should learn to control our own bodies in a way that is holy and honorable, not in passionate lust like the pagans, who do not know God; and that in this matter of sex no one should wrong or take advantage of each other. The Lord will punish all those who commit such sins, as we have already told and warned Christians. For God did not call us to be impure, but to live a holy life (1 Thessalonians 4:7). Learn to distinguish the difference between love and lust. Related to this it should be noted that the Bible describes Sexual desire as good. see (Prov 5:19; Heb 13:4). Embrace your sexuality. It is good. the Bible does not describe sex as dirty. It is dirty if it is done in fornication or adultery and in a perverted sense such as homosexuality. The Song of Solomon describes romantic. God commands sex inside of marriage. Paul the Apostle actually promoted sex in marriage. "3The husband should fulfill his marital duty to his wife, and likewise the wife to her husband. 4The wife does not have authority over her own body but yields it to her husband. In the same way, the husband does not have authority over his own body but yields it to his wife. 5Do not deprive each other except perhaps by mutual consent and for a time, so that you may devote yourselves to prayer. Then come together again so that Satan will not tempt you because of your lack of self-control."(I Corinth 7:3-5). So enjoy sex! Come together with your spouse as often as you can!” As a married Christian you have access to sex every day if you desire.
It is important to have permanent children of the marriage during this time as well, if you are physically able to:
"27God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. 28God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.”(Genesis 1:27-28).
It should be noted that we are to dress modestly and go about our behavior modestly. This will help protect the innocence of our Brothers and Sisters in Jesus Christ (I Timothy 2:9-10). We should never dress or behave in such a way as to try to tempt others to commit lustful acts.
For those who may already be saved and practicing these behaviors they need to immediately stop and repent and turn from their sins and beg Jesus for forgiveness. For if we are saved and deliberately keep on sinning there remains no sacrifice for our sins and we could be spit out of Jesus and He will not be calling you His child. If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth no sacrifice for sins is left but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume the enemies of God (Hebrews 10:27).
It may sound harsh but Jesus commands us to perform self-mutilation to keep from purposely falling into sin. The Apostles reinforce this command as well.
"27“You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ 28But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart. 29If your right eye causes you to stumble, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell. 30And if your right hand causes you to stumble, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to go into hell." (Matthew 5:27-30).
However, do not feel discouraged by this scripture. Keep trying. Keep serving. Live life fulling and abundantly. Be Holy. Be self-controlled (2 Peter 1:5-7). Know that you are loved and forgiven (I John 1:9, John 4:10; John 10:10; Ephesians 1:7; Ephesians 4:24). But also know it is the practice that brings sin. It is the deliberate sinning after knowledge of sin. We will always sin but we will not always deliberately sin. We will not want to sin or practice a sin. We must obey Jesus.
You may need to find a new social or church group to join. You may need to break relationships with other so-called Christians or family members. It may be painful. It may be hard. You must obey Jesus regardless. Stay close to, spend time with, and get involved with a good local church with other Believers who are serious about following Jesus. Study the Bible and obey its teachings. God bless you all in Jesus' name.
