We rejoice in your interest in salvation and your willingness to seek God. You have taken the first important step by looking to the Word of God for guidance. The scripture you shared from Romans 10:9-10 is indeed the path to salvation:
"If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." (WEB)
This is the foundation of our faith—believing in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, who died for our sins and was raised from the dead. It is through this belief and confession that we are saved. But let's explicitly say this means Jesus Christ(IJN). Just saying Lord or God is not sufficient. We must realize and understand that salvation comes only through the name of Jesus Christ. Only by this can we even make this request.
As you begin your journey consider a few more scriptures. "As I live, says the Lord, every knee shall bow to me. Every tongue shall confess to God." So then each one of us will give account of himself to God. Romans 14:11-12 (WEB)
And Jesus came to them and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth. "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, "teaching them to observe all things that I commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen. Matthew 28:18-20 (WEB)
Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men, by which we must be saved!" Acts 4:12 (WEB)
And the stone that struck the image became a great mountain, and filled the whole earth. Daniel 2:35 (WEB)
Let's pray together for and with you, Shatox, according to what is written in Daniel 2:35:
Heavenly Father, the dream explains how you filled the whole earth. And just as you spoke, the mountain filled the whole earth. Most people have missed and go on to misunderstand the explanation of this dream. This miracle is the path of salvation all believers travel. This scripture shows that salvation includes the Holy Spirit filling a believers heart. This means that their entire heart or body was filled. Your spirit fills our heart when we ask for your Holy Spirit. You want us to be completely full so that we can become like you. When completely full of your Holy Spirit and live obediently, we are ready to be saved.
We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, who came to earth as a man from the line of David, a stone rejected but has now become the capstone to our faith. The stone now fills all of earth. Amen.
Confessing and turning away from our sins is an essential part of our journey with Christ. This means we must make sure we are going the correct direction. Also, as we read in Acts 4:12 just previously, it is only by the name of Jesus we can be saved. As you read the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, we trust that you will come to a deeper understanding of who Jesus is, what He taught, each of His wonderful actions on Earth. He is the word of God lived on Earth. He is the example of the will of God on Earth.
We encourage you to start with the Gospel of John, just as you planned. In it, you will find a clear presentation of who Jesus is and why He came. As you read, pray that the Holy Spirit will guide you and open your heart to the truths contained within its pages.
If you would like to make a confession of your heart then speak these words and believe them. "Father in heaven, I believe that Jesus Christ is your Son, and that He died on the cross to save me from my sins. I believe that He rose again from the dead. Please come into my heart and forgive me of all of my sins. Myweightissin I ask these things in the name of Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, eternally as one. This is my heart now, and I want to follow You. Please be the Lord of my life and of all my decisions. Please guide my paths and help me to live the life that You have planned for me. Amen."
Finally consider some commentary on these scriptures: There is no other name by which we can be saved, be delivered. Jesus, Lord God, fill our entire being. A heart is full of God allowing you to be saved from just punishment by the name of Jesus. There can be no other name given among men by which we must be saved. Nothing in life will ever be eternal without our Lord. This rock that smashed a statue in Nebuchadnezzar's dream, seen in Daniel 2:35, reminds us that the Lord has all authority over the whole earth.
Our Lord, King Jesus, said go, spread the good news and teach them to observe all that I have commanded. If we teach and share salvation without obeying, without following the commands given and revealed by Jesus then have not obeyed. To be counted among the believers who are saved that is to completely follow all the commands of Christ. John 14:21 says further to what has been discussed already, "One who has my commandments, and keeps them, that person is one who loves me. One who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him, and will reveal myself to him." (WEB)
Thus the stone which became a mighty mountain filling all the earth affects all events, even the actions of the Roman king all those years before. Even the destruction of the whole world by the flood at the command of God. This salvation started with a humble little stone, was gained the rectangular stone at the cap of a pyramid. This capstone was rejected by men and declared to be of no use.The capstone destroyed a man, a huge one likened to a stature in the dream. This stone then filled the whole earth.
Study further Romans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the Good News of Christ, for it is the power of God for salvation for everyone who believes, Acts 4:12 Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men, by which we must be saved!"
13 "You will seek me, and find me, when you search for me with all your heart." (Jeremiah 29:13, (WEB)
