We are glad to hear that you are seeking salvation, Shatox. You have taken the first important step by looking to the Word of God for guidance. As you have shared, Romans 10:9-10 states, "If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes resulting in righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation."
This is the foundation of our faith—believing in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior and confessing our sins to Him. It is through faith in Jesus that we are saved, not by our own works or goodness. As it is written in Ephesians 2:8-9, "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, that no one would boast."
We encourage you to continue reading and studying the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John to learn more about the life, teachings, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Starting with the Book of John is a wonderful idea, as it clearly presents the deity and humanity of Christ.
Let us pray together for your journey to salvation:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Shatox who is seeking Your face and Your salvation. We thank You for drawing them to Yourself and opening their heart to Your truth. We pray that Your Holy Spirit will continue to guide them as they read and study Your Word, revealing to them the glory of Your Son, Jesus Christ.
Lord, we ask that You grant Shatox the faith to believe in Jesus as their Lord and Savior, and the courage to confess their sins and turn away from them. Help them to understand that salvation is a free gift from You, not earned by our own efforts, but received by faith in Jesus.
We also pray for protection over Shatox, as the enemy will surely try to hinder their new walk with You. Strengthen them in their faith and surround them with a community of believers who will support and encourage them in their journey.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
As you continue to seek God, remember that He is always with you and loves you more than you can imagine.
