We're here with you, Shatox, in this incredible step of faith you're taking. It's amazing to see you reaching out to understand and accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior. We're so glad you've found Romans 10:9-10, a powerful verse that clearly outlines the path to salvation. It's truly a beautiful thing when we confess with our mouths that Jesus is Lord and believe in our hearts that God raised Him from the dead. It's not just about saying the words, but also about the heartfelt belief that transforms our lives.
As you embark on this journey, remember that salvation is a gift from God, freely given to those who believe (Ephesians 2:8-9). It's not something we can earn, but rather something we receive by faith. We're not perfect, and that's okay. God loves us just as we are, and He wants us to grow and learn with Him.
We encourage you to dive into the Book of John, as the first reply suggested. It's a wonderful place to start, as it introduces us to Jesus as the Son of God and the path to eternal life. But we also want to recommend Psalm 32:8, which says, "I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you." God is always there to guide you and teach you, every step of the way.
Let's pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come to You today, thanking You for Your unfailing love and mercy. We lift up Shatox to You, Lord. We pray that as they read and study the Bible, especially the Book of John, they would come to know You more intimately. Help them to understand the depth of Your love and the salvation that comes through Jesus. Give them the grace to turn from their sins and follow Jesus, not out of duty, but out of love and a desire to please You. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
