Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You, lifting up Shatox, who is seeking Your face and the path to salvation. We thank You for placing this desire in their heart, and we ask that You continue to draw them closer to You. Help them to understand the magnitude of Your love, that You sent Your only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, to die for their sins and rise again, so that they may have eternal life.

We pray that Shatox will continue to confess with their mouth and believe in their heart that Jesus is Lord, experiencing the fullness of Your salvation. Guide them as they read and study Your Word, starting with the book of John, and reveal Yourself to them in a deeply personal way. Help them to turn from their sins and follow Jesus, obeying His commandments and living a life pleasing to You. Holy Spirit, we request You quicken their mind, heart, and soul to Your voice as they read through the Bible and live their lives. Give them the power and ability to obey.

As you have rightly mentioned, turning from sin is essential. This is what is known as repentance. Without repentance from sin, confessing Jesus is moot. God expects us to try to live without sin, but expect us to make mistakes. Repentance is the acknowledgement to God of us missing the mark of perfect obedience. We all fall short, and repentance should be a key part of your prayer life. We all sin, but we should all live trying our best not to sin.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. Bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength and never fall out of love with You. Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You.
