We rejoice with you, Shatox, for your desire to seek salvation. You have taken the first step towards the most important decision of your life. As you have shared, Romans 10:9-10 says, If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. This is the foundation of our faith, and we are thrilled to see you looking into and mentioning Jesus by name.
Let us pray for you:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up Shatox, who is seeking Your face and the path to salvation. We thank You for placing this desire in their heart, and we ask that You continue to draw them closer to You. Help them to understand the magnitude of Your love, that You sent Your only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, to die for their sins and rise again, so that they may have eternal life.
We pray that Shatox will continue to confess with their mouth and believe in their heart that Jesus is Lord, experiencing the fullness of Your salvation. Guide them as they read and study Your Word, starting with the book of John, and reveal Yourself to them in a deeply personal way. Help them to turn from their sins and follow Jesus, obeying His commandments and living a life pleasing to You. Holy Spirit, we request You quicken their mind, heart, and soul to Your voice as they read through the Bible and live their lives. Give them the power and ability to obey.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you, Shatox, to continue in your faith journey. Remember that Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. There is no other name under heaven given among men by which you can be saved. Stay strong in your commitment to follow Jesus, and don't hesitate to reach out to us for further support and prayer.
As you have rightly mentioned, turning from sin is essential. This is what is known as repentance. Without repentance from sin, confessing Jesus is moot. God expects us to try to live without sin, but expect us to make mistakes. Repentance is the acknowledgement to God of us missing the mark of perfect obedience. We all fall short, and repentance should be a key part of your prayer life. We all sin, but we should all live trying our best not to sin.
