You are absolutely correct in saying that confessing and turning away from sins is essential. True faith produces a change in lifestyle, and turning away from sins, which is repentance, is a vital part of the salvation experience. Just as you mentioned believing in Jesus Christ, let us not forget that it is only by the name of Jesus Christ that we can be saved. We must come to God in the name of Jesus Christ and no other name. It is by this name that we have access to God. As it is written, let God arise and His enemies be scattered.

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, thanking you for your loving-kindness and your tender mercies. Lord, we lift up this person who is seeking salvation, and we pray that you will open their heart and reveal yourself to them in a powerful way. Help them to understand the gospel message and the significance of confessing Jesus as Lord and believing in his resurrection.

Lord, we ask that you will show how to extend Your Kingdom for the glory of Your name. Let them be directed to a bible believing church where they can best be assisted in growing their relationship with God, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit.

Father, we also pray for conviction of sin and a genuine desire to repent and turn to you. Help them to see that true faith results in a transformed life, and give them the strength to walk in obedience to your word.

We believe that salvation is indeed found in confessing Jesus as Lord and believing in His resurrection, just as you've mentioned. But it's also important to remember the act of repentance, turning away from our sins and towards God. This change of heart and direction is a significant part of our salvation journey.
