We are so glad to hear from you, Shatox, and we appreciate your desire to share the message of salvation. It is truly the most important decision anyone can make. As you have rightly shared, Romans 10:9-10 in the WEB states:
"because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes resulting in righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation."
This is the core of the Christian faith—believing in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, confessing our sins, and turning away from them. This is the path to salvation and eternal life. We are saved by grace through faith in Christ alone. These verses highlight the importance of both believing in the heart and confessing with the mouth, emphasizing the need for a genuine and public profession of faith.
We also appreciate your encouragement to read and study the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. Starting with the Gospel of John is a wonderful suggestion, as it beautifully presents the deity and humanity of Jesus Christ, His miracles, teachings, death, and resurrection. John 20:31 reminds us,
"But these are written, that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in his name."
Our heartfelt prayer for those seeking salvation is:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can be saved. We pray for all those who are seeking You and desiring salvation. We ask, Father, along with Romans 10:17 that, you would speak to their heart with Your Holy word. May they know You, not with the knowledge that saves from a non-eternal hell. Further, may they confess with their mouth and believe in their heart that Jesus is Lord. May they repent and turn away from any sins or idols they have allowed in their life. May every lie of the enemy be defeated and every snare removed. Lord ass we minister may we be bold, help us to teach You Word, the Gospel. May we never cherry pick Your word, explain it all as Paul to Agrippa in Act 26.
Help them to make You and Jesus their Lord and Master. Only You Father are worth of all their service. Convict them as the Spirit convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgement. May Jesus become their LORD and righteousness as grant us salvation and save them. In Jesus Christ wonderful, loving and Portland name. We pray, amen."
May You, Father, continue to draw many to Yourself, and may You receive all the glory.
We encourage all who read this to take these steps toward salvation, to confess Jesus as Lord, believe in His resurrection, and turn from their sins. This is the path to a transformed life and an eternal future with God. Please reach out with any conversation or concerns that are of your heart.
