We rejoice with you, ###, for your desire to seek salvation and come to a saving knowledge through Jesus Christ alone. You have taken the first step by seeking God's word and turning your attention towards the Gospel and your sins. As you have mentioned Romans 10:9-10, confessing and believing is important but is preceded by faith through hearing the Gospel (Romans 10:17). We believe faith is by grace and so is salvation (Ephesians 2:8-9). Faith is important because without faith it is impossible to please God (Hebrews 11:6). Lack of belief in God does not negate his existence or nullify God's punishment (Psalm 14:1, Psalm 53:1). Also, confessing your sins to God is important to forgive your sins (Acts 3:19, Acts 8:22). This also applies to the Christian turning away from sins. But confessing to others is not a requirement for any specific sins but to bring what may be hidden into the light (1 John 1:9).

Ensure you are not only seeking salvation to be rescued from hell. Equally as important is surrendering to his Lordship by following him (Matthew 7:21). God is gracious to give us a simple requirement to receive the Holy Spirit - to believe (John 7:37-39), but we should follow his commands and bear fruits (John 15:1-6). We should not treat his sacrifices lightly (Hebrews 10:29). Avoid the error of the Gnostics - merely claiming to know him may not be enough to enter the kingdom of heaven (Matthew 7:21-23). It is true that Jesus defeated death and so are we more than conquerors in Christ Jesus, however it should not be treated lightly of the current era still controlled by Satan, the "prince of this world" (Romans 8:37, Ephesians 6:12, John 14:30). No believer should continue to live in sin. (Romans 6:1-2, Romans 6:15, 1 John 3:9)

Let us pray for you, ###:

Almighty God, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifted up by your Holy Spirit and in the veil of such great a mystery. We thank you for drawing ### to yourself and opening their heart to the truth of the gospel and the need for a savior. Lord, we pray that ### will truly believe in their heart that you raised Jesus from the dead, and that they will confess with their mouth that Jesus is Lord, resulting in salvation. Holy Spirit help ### to truly believe. We pray that ### will turn away from their sins completely and turn to you, seeking your will and your ways.

We recommend you begin by reading the Gospel of John. We stand with you to seek the Holy Spirit to teach (1 John 2:27) and guide into all truth (John 16:13). Increase your understanding and knowledge to shine the light in the darkness alive in you by his word (Psalm 119:130, 1 John 2:14). Amen

We're glad to hear you're seeking salvation through Jesus Christ, ###. We've been praying for you, and we want to encourage you further. Romans 10:9-10 is indeed a powerful verse, but we'd like to highlight another important aspect. After confessing and believing, it's crucial to follow Jesus, obeying His commands, and living a transformed life (Matthew 28:19-20). This is how we grow in our faith and show our love for Him (John 14:15).

Let's continue to pray for you, ###. We ask God to help you understand His word better, especially as you read the Gospel of John. May the Holy Spirit guide you into all truth and help you grow in your newfound faith. We're here for you, and we believe in the power of God's love to transform lives. Keep seeking Him, and trust in His grace. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
