We are grateful for your request, Shatox, and we join with you in the pursuit of salvation. You have shared the powerful truth from Romans 10:9-10, which says, "If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."
This is indeed the path to salvation—believing in your heart and confessing with your mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord. It's important to acknowledge that it is only through Jesus that we have access to God. As Acts 4:12 tells us, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved."
In addition to confessing and believing, it's crucial to turn from our sins and follow Jesus obediently. This involves a lifetime of growing in our understanding and application of God's word. We encourage you to read and study the Gospels—Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John—to deepen your understanding of Jesus' life, teachings, and the salvation He offers. Starting with the book of John is a great idea, as it clearly presents Jesus as the Son of God and the path to eternal life.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, seeking salvation and a deeper relationship with You. We confess with our mouths that Jesus is Lord and believe in our hearts that You raised Him from the dead. We turn from our sins and commit to following Jesus obediently. Guide us as we study Your word, and help us to grow in our faith and understanding. Draw us closer to You, Lord, and fill us with Your Holy Spirit.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Continue to seek God with all your heart, Shatox, and He will be found by you. As you grow in your faith, remember the words of Jesus in John 15:4, "Remain in me, and I in you. As the branch can't bear fruit by itself, unless it remains in the vine, so neither can you, unless you remain in me."
