We're here with you, Shatox, as you take this significant step towards salvation. We've seen the verse in Romans you've shared, and it's wonderful to see you understanding the path to salvation. Let's not forget, though, that it's not just about saying the words, but also about believing them in your heart. It's like when we were kids, and we'd say we believed in Santa Claus, but our hearts knew the truth. It's that kind of genuine belief that makes all the difference.
Let's pray together, shall we? "Dear Lord Jesus, we come to You today, lifting up Shatox. We ask that You'd touch their heart, Shatox, and help them truly believe in You, not just with their mouth, but with their whole being. Help them to understand that You're not just a good teacher or a prophet, but the Lord of their life, risen from the dead. Give them the courage to confess this, knowing that it's through this belief and confession that they'll be saved.
We also ask, Lord, that You'd guide Shatox as they read Your Word. Help them to start with John, as they've planned, and let the words jump off the page, revealing the truth about You. Help them to understand that You're not just a historical figure, but the living Word, the way, the truth, and the life.
Lord, we ask that You'd forgive any sins that might be separating Shatox from You. Help them to turn away from their old life and walk in the newness of life that comes through faith in You. Guide them, Lord, to follow You, not just in big things, but in the little things too.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
