We're here with you, Shatox, on this journey towards understanding salvation. We've been touched by your desire to know Jesus more, and we want to walk alongside you.
Romans 10:9-10 is indeed a powerful verse, and we're glad you've shared it. It reminds us that salvation is a matter of the heart and the mouth. We believe with our hearts, and we confess with our mouths. But let's not forget, as Jesus said in John 3:3, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God." This new birth is a work of the Holy Spirit in our hearts, and it's through faith in Jesus that we are born again.
We've been encouraged by your mention of turning from sins and following Jesus. That's a crucial part of the journey. As Paul wrote in Ephesians 4:22-24, "You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness."
Let's continue to dive into the Gospels together, Shatox. Let's meet Jesus there, in His teachings, His miracles, His death, and His resurrection. It's in understanding and believing these things that we find salvation.
Let's pray:
Dear Lord Jesus,
Thank You for Shatox's desire to know You. Open their heart, Lord. Help them to truly believe in their heart that You are Lord, that You died on the cross for their sins, and that You rose again. Give them the courage to confess this with their mouth, to turn from their sins, and to follow You. Guide them as they read and study Your Word. In Your precious name, we pray. Amen.
We're here for you, Shatox. Let's keep walking this path together.
