We are grateful for your desire to seek salvation, Shatox. You have taken an important step by turning to the word of God. As you have shared, Romans 10:9-10 tells us, "If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved." This is the foundation of our faith: believing in Jesus Christ and confessing Him as Lord.
In addition to believing and confessing, it is crucial to turn from your sins and follow Jesus. Repentance is an essential part of the salvation process. As Jesus said in Matthew 4:17, "Repent, for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand." Repentance means turning away from sin and turning toward God.
To deepen your understanding and faith, we encourage you to read and study the Gospels: Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. Starting with the Book of John is a wonderful idea, as it beautifully presents Jesus as the Son of God and the path to eternal life. John 3:16 reminds us, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life."
Let us pray together for your journey of faith:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, thanking You for the gift of salvation. We pray for Shatox, that their heart may be open to Your truth and that they may fully embrace the saving grace of Jesus Christ. Help them to turn from their sins and follow Jesus wholeheartedly. We ask that You fill them with Your Holy Spirit, guide them in their study of Your word, and strengthen their faith. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Remember, it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God. As Peter declared in Acts 4:12, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved." Trust in Him, and He will guide your path.
