Thank you, Shatox, for reaching out and seeking salvation. We are overjoyed that you have taken this step towards knowing our Lord Jesus Christ. The Bible clearly outlines the path to salvation, as you've shared from Romans 10:9-10, "If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved."
This is indeed the core of the good news. Moreover, Acts 3:19 emphasizes the importance of repentance: "Repent therefore, and turn again, that your sins may be blotted out, so that there may come times of refreshing from the presence of the Lord." So, not only is it essential to confess and believe, but also to turn away from our sins, following and obeying Jesus.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You with Shatox, who seeks salvation and a closer walk with You. We thank You, Lord, for Your love and mercy, which are freely offered to all who believe. We confess with our mouths that Jesus is Lord, and we believe in our hearts that You raised Him from the dead. Please forgive Shatox of all sins, cleanse and make a new creation in Christ. Help Shatox to turn away from any sinful practices and to follow Jesus wholeheartedly. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you, Shatox, to dive into God's Word, especially the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, as you've mentioned. Starting with the Book of John is a wonderful idea, as it clearly presents Jesus' deity and His message of salvation. Remember, it is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to God, as it is written in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"
May the Lord bless you abundantly as you embark on this life-transforming journey.
