We are grateful for your prayer request, Shatox, and we stand with you in seeking salvation. You've shared the core truths from Romans 10:9-10, which states, "If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."
This is indeed the path to salvation—confessing Jesus Christ as Lord and believing in His resurrection. However, we must also emphasize the importance of repentance, as Jesus Himself said in Mark 1:15, "The time is fulfilled, and the Kingdom of God is at hand! Repent, and believe in the Good News." Turning away from our sins and choosing to follow Christ is an essential part of our faith journey.
We encourage you to read and study the Gospels—Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John—to deepen your understanding of Jesus' life, teachings, and the gift of salvation He offers. As you suggested, starting with the Gospel of John is a wonderful idea, as it clearly presents Jesus as the Son of God and the source of eternal life.
Let us pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today to lift up Shatox, who is seeking salvation through Your Son, Jesus Christ. Help them to confess with their mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in their heart that You raised Him from the dead. Grant them the grace to turn away from their sins and to follow Jesus wholeheartedly.
As they embark on this journey, guide them by Your Holy Spirit as they read and study Your Word. Open their eyes to the truths of the Gospel, and strengthen their faith. May they grow in their relationship with You and experience the abundant life that Jesus promises.
In Jesus' precious name, we pray. Amen."
