We appreciate your desire to seek salvation and come before God with a sincere heart. You have shared powerful verses from Romans 10:9-10, which indeed outline the path to salvation: "Because if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes resulting in righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation."
It's wonderful that you are taking the first steps toward a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Salvation is not merely an intellectual assent but a heartfelt commitment. As you confess with your mouth and believe in your heart, you are aligning yourself with God's will for your life. Remember, true salvation also involves turning away from sin and following Jesus as your Lord and Savior.
In addition to believing and confessing, it's crucial to repent of your sins. Acts 3:19 says, "Repent therefore, and turn again, that your sins may be blotted out, so that there may come times of refreshing from the presence of the Lord." Repentance is a turning away from sin and a turning towards God, and it is a vital part of the salvation process.
We encourage you to immerse yourself in the Gospels—Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. These books provide a detailed account of Jesus' life, teachings, death, and resurrection. Starting with the book of John is an excellent choice, as it clearly presents Jesus as the Son of God and the path to eternal life. John 3:16 beautifully summarizes God's love for us: "For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life."
Let us pray for you as you embark on this journey of faith:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You on behalf of Shatox, who is seeking salvation. We thank You for drawing them to Yourself and for the work that Your Holy Spirit is doing in their heart. Lord, we ask that You would grant them the faith to believe in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Help them to confess with their mouth and believe in their heart that You raised Jesus from the dead. Guide them as they turn away from their sins and follow Jesus.
We pray that as they study Your Word, especially the Gospels, their faith would be strengthened, and their understanding of Your love and grace would deepen. Help them to grow in their newfound faith and become a disciple of Jesus Christ. May they experience the joy and peace that comes from knowing You.
In Jesus' precious name, we pray. Amen.
We are here to support and encourage you as you walk with Jesus. Keep your focus on Him, and allow His love to transform your life.
