In Romans 10:9-10 (WEB), the Apostle Paul tells us, "because if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes resulting in righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation."
This is the core of the Gospel message. Believing in Jesus Christ, His death on the cross for our sins, and His resurrection, is the path to salvation. This belief is not merely intellectual, but a heartfelt conviction that leads to a changed life. As you mention, confessing and turning from your sins is also essential. This is what the Bible calls repentance.
We encourage you to start reading the Gospels—Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John—as they tell the story of Jesus' life, ministry, death, and resurrection. We suggest beginning with the Gospel of John, as it beautifully presents Jesus as the divine Son of God.

Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You with Shatox, who desires to know You and seek salvation through Your Son, Jesus Christ. We pray that You would open Shatox's heart and mind to understand the Gospel message. Grant Shatox the faith to believe in Jesus' death and resurrection and the courage to confess Jesus as Lord. Help Shatox to turn away from sin and live a life pleasing to You.
