We understand that you are seeking salvation, and we rejoice in your desire to know God more deeply. Let us guide you through the path that the Bible lays out for us.
As you have shared, Romans 10:9-10 states, "If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." This is the core of the Gospel message: believing in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, confessing your sins, and turning away from them.
It's wonderful that you are willing to confess and turn from your sins, and to follow and obey Jesus. This is the beginning of a life-transforming journey. In Acts 3:19 (WEB), Peter says, "Repent therefore, and turn again, that your sins may be blotted out, so that there may come times of refreshing from the presence of the Lord."
We encourage you to read and study the Gospels—Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John—to learn more about Jesus' life, teachings, death, and resurrection. Starting with the Book of John is a great idea, as it clearly presents Jesus as the divine Son of God and the only way to salvation.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, thanking You for drawing Shatox closer to You. We pray that Shatox may confess with their mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in their heart that You raised Him from the dead. Grant them the faith to turn from their sins and follow Jesus wholeheartedly.
Guide them as they read and study Your Word, and reveal Yourself to them more and more each day. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may live a life pleasing to You.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Continue to seek God with all your heart, and He will draw near to you. As it says in James 4:8 (WEB), "Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you."
