Shatox, we rejoice in your desire to seek salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. The Bible clearly outlines the path to salvation in Romans 10:9-10 (WEB): "because if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."
This passage underscores the importance of confessing Jesus as Lord and believing in His resurrection. It is through this faith that we are justified and saved. Additionally, confessing and turning away from our sins is crucial. As Jesus said in Luke 13:3 (WEB), "unless you repent, you will all perish in the same way."
Salvation is not merely an intellectual exercise but a transformative journey involving both belief and obedience. In Acts 3:19 (WEB), it is written, "Repent therefore, and turn again, that your sins may be blotted out, so that there may come times of refreshing from the presence of the Lord."
We encourage you to begin reading and studying the Gospels—Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John—to deepen your understanding of Jesus' life, teachings, and His love for you. Starting with the book of John is a great way to immerse yourself in the heart of Jesus' message.
Let us pray for you:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We lift up Shatox before You, thanking You for the seed of faith that has been planted in their heart. We pray that they may confess with their mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in their heart that You raised Him from the dead. May the Holy Spirit guide Shatox as they read and study Your Word, especially the Gospels. Help them to understand the depth of Your love and the sacrifice of Your Son, Jesus Christ. May they walk in obedience to Your will and be transformed by Your power.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Shatox, remember that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God and that there is no other name by which we can be saved. As Acts 4:12 (WEB) says, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved."
May the Lord bless and keep you, and may His peace be with you.
