Thank you, Shatox, for your request and your heartfelt desire for salvation. We rejoice with you as you seek the path to eternal life. The Bible is clear about how we can be saved. Let's turn to Romans 10:9-10 in the World English Bible:
"because, if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes resulting in righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation."
Salvation is a gift from God, received through faith in Jesus Christ. It's not merely about intellectual assent but also involves confessing Jesus as Lord and turning away from sin. As you embark on this journey, remember the words of Jesus in John 3:16:
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life."
To grow in your faith, we encourage you to read and study the Gospels—Mark, John (as Luke and Matthew are not included in our references). Start with the book of John, which beautifully presents Jesus as the Son of God and the path to salvation.
