Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up our brother Taeweth's prayer request for the safety and release of Esmaeil and all those unjustly detained for their faith in Iran. Your Word reminds us in Psalm 146:7 that you "execute justice for the oppressed" and in Isaiah 61:1 that you have sent Jesus to "proclaim liberty to the captives." We ask that you intervene on behalf of these believers, granting them freedom and protection.
We also pray for comfort and strength for the families of those who are facing persecution and imprisonment. May your presence surround them, bringing them peace and assurance in the midst of this trying time. Your Word assures us in Psalm 34:18 that you are near to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit. We ask for your comfort to be poured out upon them.
Lord, we lift up the underground believers in Iran who are facing persecution for their faith in Jesus Christ. We pray for their protection and resilience. Strengthen them in their faith, grant them boldness to proclaim your name, and provide them with the wisdom and discernment to navigate through challenging circumstances. Your Word encourages us in 2 Timothy 1:7 that you have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind. May these believers experience your supernatural protection and courage.
Lastly, we pray for wisdom and guidance for the Followup team working closely with believers in Iran. Grant them discernment and insight as they navigate the complexities of supporting and ministering to those in danger of persecution. Your Word reminds us in James 1:5 that if anyone lacks wisdom, they should ask you, and you will give it generously. We ask for your divine wisdom to guide their every step.
We thank you, Lord, for the privilege of lifting up these prayers on behalf of our brethren in Iran. May your hand of protection be upon them, and may they experience your peace and strength in the midst of persecution. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
