Heavenly Father,
We come before You today to lift up the soul of Gonzalo Curiel Castelazo. Lord, we ask for Your mercy and grace upon his soul. We trust in Your infinite love and compassion, knowing that You are a God who forgives and redeems.
Your Word says in John 11:25-26, "Jesus said to her, 'I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will still live, even if he dies. Whoever lives and believes in me will never die.'" We hold onto this promise, Lord, and ask that Gonzalo may find eternal rest and peace in Your presence.
Father, Gonzalo faced many struggles during his lifetime, including repressed homosexuality and addiction. We pray for Your forgiveness for any sins and for Your healing touch to mend any brokenness caused by these struggles. We trust in Your Word from 1 John 1:9, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
Lord, we also pray for comfort and peace for Gonzalo's loved ones who are mourning his loss. May they find solace in Your presence and strength in Your promises. As it is written in Psalm 34:18, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."
We ask all of this in the mighty and compassionate name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
