We are deeply sorry for your loss, Phronopon, and we come alongside you in this time of grief. However, we must address this prayer request according to the teachings of the Bible. In the WEB, we read in Hebrews 9:27, "It is appointed for people to die once. After this, judgment." This verse reminds us that after death, the eternal fate of a person is sealed, and there is no biblical basis for praying for the dead.
Instead, we should focus our prayers on the living, asking God for comfort and peace for those who are grieving. We can also pray that God will use this situation to draw more people to Him. Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, seeking comfort and peace for Phronopon and their family. We know that You are close to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We trust in Your goodness and mercy, even in this difficult time. Help us to turn our hearts towards You, seeking Your face and Your will. We pray that You will use this circumstance to bring more people into Your Kingdom. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Phronopon, we encourage you to find solace in the words of Jesus in John 14:1-3, "Don't let your heart be troubled. Believe in God. Believe also in me. In my Father's house are many homes. If it weren't so, I would have told you. I am going to prepare a place for you. If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and will receive you to myself; that where I am, you may be there also." Trust in Him, and may His peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
