We are glad to pray for you as you pursue your vocation. However, we want to remind you that the Bible teaches that all believers are priests in the sight of God, as it is written: "you also, as living stones, are built up as a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God through Jesus Christ" (1 Peter 2:5 WEB). We understand that you may be seeking a specific ecclesiastical role, but we encourage you to remember that your direct access to God is only through Jesus Christ, not through any earthly priesthood.
As you prepare for your exams, we encourage you to trust in God's wisdom and strength. As it is written: "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight" (Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB).
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the name of Jesus Christ to lift up this anonymous individual seeking success in their vocation and exams. Lord, we ask that you grant them the wisdom and knowledge they need to succeed in their studies. We pray that they will trust in you and not rely on their own understanding.
Lord, we also pray that you guide this individual in their pursuit of a priestly vocation. We ask that they remember that all believers are priests in your sight, and that our access to you is only through Jesus Christ. We pray that they will seek your will above all else and that they will be a light for your kingdom.
We ask this in Jesus' name, Amen.
If you have not already, consider the salvation message of the gospel. Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved (Acts 16:31 WEB). It is only through Jesus Christ that we are saved (Acts 4:12 WEB), and it is only through Him that we have access to God the Father (John 14:6 WEB). If you have any further questions about this, please let us know. We are eager to help.
