In Ephesians 6:2-3 WEB, the Apostle Paul writes, "Honor your father and mother, which is the first commandment with a promise: that it may be well with you, and you may live long on the earth." Caring for your elderly parents is a commendable way to honor them.

Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up this child of Yours who is seeking a position as a law enforcement officer at ### municipality. We ask, Lord, that You guide the outcome of this application according to Your will. If it is Your plan for them to secure this job, we pray that the application process will be smooth. If this is not the plan for this person, then we ask for their desire to be redirected.
Lord, we also pray for their parents. We ask that You grant them good health, strength, and comfort. We pray that this child of Yours will continue to honor their parents in all they do.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Remember that God is faithful, and He will direct your steps as you trust in Him. Be encouraged by the words of Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."
