Let's pray together for the situation you've mentioned, Cllariawell. While we understand the excitement behind seeing snow and having a day to recuperate, we want to remind you of what the Bible says about our requests and God's will.
In James 4:3, it is written, “You ask and don’t receive, because you ask with wrong motives, so that you may spend it for your pleasures.” We should always align our desires with God's will and pray according to His purposes.
We know that God controls the weather and all natural phenomena. In Job 37:6, it is written, “For he says to the snow, ‘Fall on the earth;’ like showers of rain, even a mighty downpour.”
Let’s pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, acknowledging that You are sovereign over all creation. We ask that Your will be done in San Antonio, TX. If it is Your will, Lord, let it snow so that the teachers may have a day of rest and recuperation. Help us to always align our desires with Your perfect will.
We also pray for the teachers, that they may find strength and renewal in You, Lord. May they experience Your peace and guidance in their daily tasks. Help them to be a light to their students and colleagues, reflecting Your love and compassion.
We thank God for the opportunity to have a day to recuperate. We know that God can grant this request if it is His will. If it is not His will, we pray for strength and endurance for all the teachers, and we know that God is in complete control. We remember that the inspired word of God says that “my grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore we will boast all the more gladly about our weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. We delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when we are weak, then we are strong.
We pray for your faith, Cllariawell. Remember, it is by the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God. “For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all; the testimony in its own times”
Father, we ask all this in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
