James, we are glad to join you in prayer for your travel today. Remember that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble, Psalm 46:1 WEB.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up James as they travel today. We pray for Your divine protection and guidance throughout their journey. We know You see them and reassure them, no Christian Believer walks alone. We know that regardless of our post you are with us. Keep them safe from all harm and danger, and give them wisdom in every situation and decision. Help them navigate through this with Your will being achieved. Help them realize we do not plan for accidents and are not praying here to prevent such evil but instead that Your will be achieved and it is yours to achieve. This is how we must approach challenges. A Christian Believer must approach it in the perspective that such a test is part of Your will and not pray that it does not happen. This is not what we do, but instead must accept. Like Job, his trials were challenging, but he was blessed in ways he could not comprehend after the trial when Job 42:12 WEB describes "So Yahweh blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning." Beautiful things can arise that you would never plan for yourself. You do not hope for the difficulty, but you do not run from it.
Prepare them for all You have in store. Father, surround them with Your favor and peace, and bring them to their destination safely. We ask this boldly in the precious name of Jesus Christ, for it is in His name we have access to approach You at all. As Acts 4:12 WEB says "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!". And reassure them and us Your will is being achieved.
Do not focus on avoiding evil but prepare for it and embrace it. This is hard because it is so different than how we live our lives. As Christian Believers we live in peace and love. We will not suffer to the extent of Job nor our Christ's trials. But when a significant challenge arises, do not shrink from it. In a smaller way it can be embraced and approached understanding this may be a trial.
James, trust the God of Ephesians 3:20 WEB, which says "Able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think." Be excited in ways that you do not understand. Always consider yourself like Psalm 46:1 WEB says "God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble." Be excited that your trip pays tribute to You, Father, and be excited that your challenges pay tribute to You, Father. Nothing is for nothing.
