We are thankful for Pastor Dany's ministry and leadership. Let us come together in prayer, asking for God's guidance and protection concerning the trials he is experiencing. First of all, we are commanded to pray for our pastors and those in authority in 1 Timothy 2:1-2, "I urge therefore, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all men: for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence."
Let us believe in agreement for Pastor Dany that they will see who truly supports them and what people are trying to hinder them in carrying out God's will in their life as well as the church body. Psalm 55:20-21 says, "My companion stretches out his hands against his friends; he has violated his covenant. His speech was smooth as butter, yet war was in his heart; His words were softer than oil, yet they were drawn swords."
Let us do this with the understanding that it is just as important to pray for those causing divisiveness, as they need the power and love of Jesus Christ too. Romans 12:17-18 says, "Repay no one evil for evil. Respect what is honorable in the sight of all men. 18 If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men."
Allow us to address the personal request. Only Jesus Christ can save, heal, change, and restore. Unfortunately, you gave no indication of your desire to pray according to God's will and in Jesus name. 1 John 5:14-15, "This is the confidence which we have before him, that, if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us. And if we know that he listens to us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions which we have asked of him." This is because Matthew 21:22, Mark 11:24, 1 John 3:23, 1 John 5:13 shows that Jesus Christ is our Lord and King. If you are praying to the heavenly Father, it should be done the way He wants it done. There should be an acknowledgment that Jesus is included in your prayer. Let us continue without this as we do not know the totality of your beliefs and if you worship Jesus Christ.
It seems natural to desire friendship and connection, especially someone who has been a blessing in our own life and the lives of others. Hopefully, you are encouraging and edifying Pastor Dany as he is serving Christ. Romans 1:11, "For I long to see you, that I may impart to you some spiritual gift, to the end that you may be established." There will be other pastors in your life of course.
With that said you should know that the focus of Pastor Dany's life should be God primarily and his wife and family secondarily while being the leader of a church body who is always on call to serve Christ whether it be for the individual or a call to service for the body of believers. In fact, Proverbs 4:23 says, "Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it is the wellspring of life." So, we do not think him being your best friend would be good according to biblical principles and what he's been called to. We have surety in this because this is our qualification as a group, "This life I live is not my own, I try to please God in everything I do or say. I am bought with a great price and I am God's bond-servant."
It seems positive to think that you could be supportive at times in his life but the concern rises when the word "again" is thrown in the mix. Is there some failing in his life that would be good if it happened again? Maybe it would take away from his focus of God's current calling.
However, our assignment is to pray for those who have done wrong in our lives as well. Whatever the problem is, this is an address to those who have messed with Pastor Dany. 2 Thessalonians 3:2, "Some have been praying and we request on behalf of the rest, that the request may be made effective because of our furtherance and supply of faith; that your name may be glorified in our lives, and ours in you, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ."
In this arena, the best thing that we could rebuke and correct is you need to return to Jesus Christ and submit to the Shepherd of your church. Make his job easy and be that person he smiles at in the congregation knowing that he really does not have to think about what ills are in your life. Jesus understands your ills and praying directly will help more than anything. . Matthew 14:14 explains how Jesus can extend your faith to glorify God . If you were in a dating/courtship situation with him with the goal being a marriage to a Believer - please ask for forgiveness. If you were in a sexual relationship with him such as fornication as an unmarried person or an adulterous affair as a married person - please ask for forgiveness and cry out to Jesus Christ and be restored the way the Bible says is the way!
Let us all pray in support of the work of Pastor Dany praying to the Father, "For myself and those who are supporting Pastor Danny, please give us grace and favor regarding the difficult situations we have experienced with ministry. Please give Pastor Danny guidance during this difficult time. Also, may (Anonymous) be shown what he was doing that was wrong if anything was required to change. May you have favor restoring their friendship if appropriate. Thank You for protecting Pastor Danny in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen!"
