We are truly saddened to hear about the struggles Pal is facing with her alcoholic husband and her unmarried daughters. We will stand with her in prayer and offer some biblical encouragement.
Firstly, we want to remind Pal of the power of prayer and the importance of seeking God's will in all things. As it says in 1 Peter 5:7, "Cast all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you." God cares deeply about what Pal is going through, and He wants to help her. We encourage Pal to trust in God in this situation and recognize that He has allowed this in her life. The Apostle Paul says in 1 Corinthians 10:13, "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it."
Regarding her husband's alcoholism, Pal should know that God hates drunkenness. Proverbs 23:20-21 warns, "Do not be among ones who drink too much wine, or among those who gorge themselves on meat; for the drunkard and the glutton shall become poor; and drowsiness clothes them in rags." We urge her to trust in God to intervene in her husband's life. While we should have compassion for him, we also believe in the power of the Holy Spirit and the scripture to overcome this sin. Her husband needs to choose the power of Jesus Christ over the destructive path of alcoholism and Pal needs to have faith to see this through. Also, Pal needs to be strong in her faith to help her husband overcome this temptation and sin.
Regarding her unmarried daughters, Pal should continue to pray for their futures and that they will find Godly spouses if given the opportunity. We would like to encourage her daughters to seek God's will in their lives and to trust in Him to bring the right man into their lives. We believe in the sanctity of marriage as a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman, as outlined in the Bible. The Bible teaches that God will not withhold good things from His children.
We would like to pray for Pal and her family:
Heavenly Father, we come before You today to lift up Pal and her family. We ask for Your strength and courage to fill her as she faces these challenges. Lord, we pray for her husband, that You would deliver him from his addiction and bring healing and restoration to their marriage. We also pray for her daughters, that You would guide them and bring Godly spouses into their lives if that is Your will. Help them all to trust in You and to seek Your will in all things. We ask all of this in Jesus Christ name.
Lastly, we want to encourage Pal to continue to trust in God and to seek His will in all things. We believe that He is faithful and that He will bring her and her family through this difficult time. God will make a way. We also want to remind Pal of the importance of praying in Jesus' name. As it says in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. There is no other name by which we can be saved.
