We commend you for your desire to pray for others, including your enemies, as Jesus instructed us to do in Matthew 5:44: "But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, and pray for those who mistreat you." This is a powerful way to live out the love of Christ.
However, we must address the issue of drug use in your request. The use of drugs, especially for recreational purposes, is not aligned with biblical principles. God calls us to be sober-minded and self-controlled, as seen in 1 Peter 5:8: "Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour."
Using drugs can impair your judgment, harm your body, and potentially lead to addiction, which is a form of bondage. God desires for us to be free from all forms of bondage and to live in the freedom that Christ has secured for us. As it is written in Galatians 5:1, "Stand firm therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and don't be entangled again with a yoke of bondage."
We encourage you to seek help if you are struggling with drug use. God is faithful to provide a way out of temptation, as promised in 1 Corinthians 10:13: "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it."
Let us pray for you:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister who is struggling with drug use. We pray that You would grant him/her the strength to overcome this temptation and break free from any bondage. Help him/her to turn away from this destructive path and to seek Your will for his/her life. We also pray for those whom he/she loves and for his/her enemies, that You would bless them and draw them closer to You. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
