My mother is ill with back issues. Please pray for healing. My father is not overly compassionate so please pray that he shows more understanding and helps with household chores more.

We are truly sorry to hear about your mother's back issues and the challenges your family is facing. We stand with you in prayer, seeking God's healing and intervention.

Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up ###'s mother, asking for Your healing touch upon her back. You are the Great Physician, and we believe that You can make her whole again. Please grant her relief from the pain and discomfort, and let Your healing power flow through her body. We pray this in the mighty name of Jesus, for it is by His stripes that we are healed.
Lord, we also bring before You the situation between ###'s parents. We pray that You would soften their father's heart and fill him with compassion, understanding, and a willingness to help with household chores. We know that Your Word tells us to "Carry one another’s burdens; and so fulfill the law of Christ". Enable him to be a support and comfort to his wife, demonstrating the love that You have shown us. Let this be an opportunity for their marriage to reflect Your love and grace. Also, let this character of genuine love of Christ cause growth in this family so that others in the world see the difference that Jesus has made.
Father, we also pray for ###, that You would give them strength, patience, and wisdom as they support their mother and navigate this situation. Let the family turn their hearts toward Jesus so they can prevent using words, actions, or even the silence of bitterness. If there is any underlying issues of contention let them be resolved in a God-honoring way rather than in strife. Help them to remember that "A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.". Help all of them to love each other as "love is patient and kind." Let all bitterness, wrath, anger be put away.
Finally, we pray for healing and restoration not only in the lives of every member of the family. Allow their lives to become more God-honoring and obedient. Remind ### also to pray with their family in the name of Jesus so that they may in alignment with "in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God." If ### has not already done so remind of the importance of accepting Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Saviour. Let ### know that Jesus is the mediator of the New Covenant between God and man and the sacrifice for our sin. It is only through Jesus that they can access God the Father.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
