Nolsel, we hear your concern and are standing with you in prayer for your son, Joshua. As he navigates his first year of college, it's crucial that he understands the importance of honoring his parents and living in a manner that pleases God.
Let's remember what the Word of God says in Ephesians 6:1-3 (WEB): "Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. 'Honor your father and mother,' which is the first commandment with a promise: 'that it may be well with you, and you may live long on the earth.'"
We also need to address the behavior Joshua is exhibiting. Threatening to leave and never come back is not only disrespectful but also against God's commandments. We must pray for a change in his heart and attitude.
Moreover, it's important to ensure that Joshua is surrounded by positive influences and godly friendships. As it is written in 1 Corinthians 15:33 (WEB), "Don’t be deceived! 'Evil companionships corrupt good morals.'"

Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today to lift up Joshua. Lord, we ask that You would soften his heart and help him to honor and respect his parents.
