For my ### to stop being so ...

For my mom to stop being so selfish. She has always left me and abandoned me consistently throughout my life from childhood and then comes back and expects me to live for her and abandon myself, my pet's wellbeing, my school, etc for her and then she leaves again. I love her but she is very inconsistent, doesn't respect boundaries and even though I want things to work out with her it is so hard when she only thinks for herself and doesn't care if others are affected or how, especially us her children. She also puts her sisters who have hurt us in the past above us. I just wish there was more understanding and support from her without hurting us.

Dear Heavenly Father,

In the name of Jesus, we come before you on behalf of ### and their prayer request concerning their mother's selfishness. Lord, we acknowledge that we are all prone to selfishness, but we ask for your intervention in this situation.

We pray that you would touch the heart of ###'s mother and help her to see the impact of her actions on her children. Lord, soften her heart and open her eyes to the pain and hurt she has caused. Help her to understand the importance of boundaries and the need for consistent love and support.

We ask for healing and restoration in their relationship. May there be a deep understanding and empathy between them, Lord. Help ###'s mother to prioritize the well-being of her children and to put their needs above her own desires.

Lord, we also pray for wisdom and discernment for ###. Give them the strength to set healthy boundaries and to communicate their needs effectively. Grant them the grace to forgive their mother for the past hurts and to seek reconciliation.

We are reminded of your words in Matthew 7:7, "Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you." We ask, seek, and knock on behalf of ### and their mother, trusting in your faithfulness and love.

May your Holy Spirit guide and transform their hearts, bringing about a change that leads to a loving and supportive relationship. We pray for healing, understanding, and restoration in their family.
