Let us first address the issue of the boyfriend being a womanizer. We must strongly rebuke this sinful behavior. The Bible tells us in Exodus 20:14, "You shall not commit adultery." And in 1 Corinthians 6:9, it is clearly stated, "Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites..." This lifestyle is not pleasing to God and it is causing harm to the people involved.
We pray for his conviction and repentance. Let us pray that he takes responsibility for his actions and understands the impact they have on his child and on you. We will pray that God works in his mind and heart, conviction of sin, sorrow for it. We pray that he truly repents from his immoral behavior. "For godly sorrow works repentance to salvation, bringing no regret. But the sorrow of the world works death." 2 Corinthians 7:10 Repentance will bring healing and restoration. Remember Jesus' words in John 8:11, ... "She said, 'No one, Lord.' Jesus said, 'Neither do I condemn you. Go your way. From now on, sin no more."
Regarding the father of Bislon's son, we hope that he is engaged in a biblically sound relationship conducive to achieving a godly permanent relationship. We realize that there are circumstances where parents are separated. However, it is very important to set a good example for his child and being in a biblical marriage is one way to do this. Marriage is meant to be a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman, as outlined in the Bible.
In Malachi 2:16, it says, "For I hate divorce, says the Lord, the God of Israel, and him who covers his garment with violence, says the Lord of Armies. Therefore pay attention to your spirit, and do not be unfaithful." We encourage forgiveness, reconciliation, and restoration of relationships, but that takes two willing parties. Regardless of their marital status, they must continue to live according to how God wants us to. In 1 Corinthians 7:10-11, "But to the married I command, yet not I but the Lord, that the wife not depart from her husband...but and remain unmarried or be reconciled to her husband, and that the husband not leave his wife." We also pray for peace and understanding between them, that they can co-parent in a way that honors God and benefits their child. We pray that there is no fornication, no adultery, no womanizing, and that the father is living as an example for his son.
Bislon, we also want to address that we only have access to God through Jesus Christ. And in Acts 4:12, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved!" We pray that both you and your boyfriend understand the importance of a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
We encourage you to study the Bible. Read The Gospel of John with the purpose of discovering who Jesus Christ is.
Heavenly Father, we lift up Bislon and her loved ones to You. We pray for conviction, repentance, and a change of heart for her boyfriend. We pray for healing, restoration, and spiritual awareness for Bislon, her boyfriend, and the father of her child. We pray for the needs and concerns of her situation. We remember Romans 8:28, "We know that all things work together for good to those who love the Lord, to those who are called according to God's purpose." Let everything in this complex situation work together for everyone's good and most importantly God's glory. We pray this in Jesus Christ's name.
