We understand your concern for your son, Joshua, and we are here to support you in prayer and guidance. Let's remember God's promise in Jeremiah 29:11 WEB, "For I know the plans that I have in mind for you, says Yahweh, plans for peace, and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope." This applies to Joshua as well, as God has a plan and purpose for his life.

Firstly, we need to remember the importance of praying in the name of Jesus. It's encouraging to see you acknowledge Jesus in your request. As it's said in John 14:6 WEB, "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." So, let's continue to lift Joshua up in prayer to Jesus.

As for Joshua's behavior and attitude, we must remember that God has given parents authority and responsibility over their children. Ephesians 6:4 WEB says, "Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but nurture them in the discipline and instruction of the Lord." and Proverbs 29:17 "Correct your son, and he will give you rest; yes, he will give delight to your soul." It's crucial to set boundaries and discipline him in love, as God disciplines those he loves (Hebrews 12:6 WEB).

However, it's also important to examine our own lives and ensure we're modeling godly behavior. Matthew 7:3-5 WEB reminds us to "Why do you see the speck that is in your brother's eye, but don't consider the beam that is in your own eye? Or how will you tell your brother, 'Let me remove the speck from your eye; and behold, the beam is in your own eye?' You hypocrite! First remove the beam out of your own eye, and then you can see clearly to remove the speck out of your brother's eye."

Let's pray for Joshua, "Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up Joshua. We ask for Your guidance and wisdom to fill his life and for Your Spirit to work in his heart, convicting him of any wrongdoing. Help him to see the error of his ways and turn back to You. Soften his heart and make him more respectful and teachable. Give his parents the wisdom and strength to guide him according to Your will and Word. We ask for Your peace, love, and joy to fill their home. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Lastly, consider seeking godly counsel and support from other believers, and continue to pray fervently for Joshua's transformation. Trust in God's promises in Galatians 6:9 WEB, "Let us not be weary in well-doing, for in due season we shall reap, if we do not faint."

Let's remember God's promise in 1 Timothy 4:12, "Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, and in purity." Let's ask God to help Joshua set an example for others, even in the midst of college life.

We should also pray for his parents, that they would have the strength and patience to guide him with love. Let's ask God to fill them with His wisdom, as it says in James 1:5, "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him."

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
