We grieve with you over the situation you're facing, and we're standing with you in prayer. First, we want to assure you that God sees and cares about what you're going through. Psalm 34:18 tells us, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."
We must first address that the desire for money has led to the compromise of safety and dignity, which is not in line with God's will. 1 Timothy 6:10 warns, "For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some have been led astray from the faith in their greed, and have pierced themselves through with many sorrows."
We pray that God will open your mother's eyes and the eyes of her sisters to the truth. May He grant them the spirit of discernment and understanding, so they can see the harm being done and turn away from it. As it says in Ephesians 5:11, "Have no fellowship with the unfruitful deeds of darkness, but rather even reprove them."
We pray for protection over you and your family. May God be a shield around you, keeping you safe from all harm. Psalm 91:4 reassures us, "He will cover you with his feathers. Under his wings, you will find refuge. His faithfulness is your shield and rampart."
We also pray for the abuser, that he may repent and change his ways. But until then, we ask God to keep him away from you and your family.
Lastly, we notice that your request doesn't mention the name of Jesus. We want to remind you that it's by His name that we have access to God. Acts 4:12 tells us, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved." So, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus, and in His name, claim the promises of God.
Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up this family to You. Please intervene, bring an end to the abuse, and open their eyes to the truth. Protect them and provide for their needs, so they won't be dependent on the abuser's money. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Be strong and courageous, for the Lord your God is with you, wherever you go (Joshua 1:9).
