We are truly saddened to hear about the difficulties you are facing in your marriage and with your in-laws. Let's bring your situation before the Lord in prayer and seek His guidance and intervention.
Firstly, it's crucial to remember the power of prayer and the importance of forgiveness, even in the most challenging situations. Jesus taught us in Matthew 6:14-15, For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you don't forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up Shirn and her husband. We acknowledge a marriage that is not honoring Lord and pray for your will to be done. Lord, we pray that You enlighten her husband's mind and help him see the pain he is causing his wife and children. We rebuke any spirit of division and manipulation that may be at work in his life and in their marriage. Father, we ask that You soften his heart and turn it towards his wife and children, that he may love, honor, and cherish them as You intended in Your holy design for marriage (Ephesians 5:25-33Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it,.
Lord, we also lift up Shirn's sister-in-law and mother-in-law. We pray that You change their hearts and help them to forgive, dispel bitterness, deceit, anger, lies, or anything else used to cause division or hatred against Shirn and her family.. We rebuke any attempts to break the marriage covenant and pray that You would replace any ill will with love, understanding, and unity. Father, we ask that You bless these relationships and help them to be a source of encouragement and support, rather than strife and division.
Father, we also pray for Shirn. We ask that You grant her the strength, wisdom, and patience to endure this trial. Help her to be a light in the darkness (Matthew 5:14-16You are the light of the world. A city located on a hill can't be hidden. Neither do you light a lamp, and put it under a measuring basket, but on a stand; and it shines to all who are in the house. Even so, let your light shine before men; that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.) and a consistent example of Your love and forgiveness. Guide her words, actions, and thoughts, that she may honor You in all she does.
Lastly, Shirn does not specifically invoke the name of Jesus Christ in the prayer. Jesus clearly tells us in John 14:6 Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. We as believers completely rely on salvation by confessing and believing through Jesus Christ. A slipt in not specifically naming Jesus is understandable, but we encourage you to seek Jesus Christ as our only personal savior and to come to God by Jesus, through Jesus, and in Jesus' name. Acts 4:12 There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved! It is by the name of Jesus Christ we are all saved.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
