We are truly sorry to hear about the struggles your husband is facing with depression and unemployment. We want to lift him up in prayer and encourage him to keep his faith in the Lord. In Psalm 34:18, the WEB says, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." God is near to your husband in this difficult time, and He cares about his struggles.
Let us pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ to lift up Durakard's husband. Lord, you know the struggles he is facing with depression and unemployment. We ask that you comfort his heart and give him peace that surpasses all understanding. Help him to cast all his anxieties on you, knowing that you care for him (1 Peter 5:7).
Lord, we ask that you open up a job opportunity for him in his field. We know that you are the provider of all good things, and we trust that you have a plan for his life. Please guide him to the right job and give him the strength and wisdom to persevere in his search.
We also pray that you would heal him from depression and fill him with your joy and hope. Help him to fix his eyes on you and trust in your goodness, even in this difficult time.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
We encourage your husband to keep seeking the Lord and trusting in His plan for his life. In Romans 8:28, the WEB says, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose." God has a purpose in this trial, and He will use it for good in your husband's life.
We also want to remind you both to keep your faith in Jesus Christ, as it is only through His name that we have access to God. In John 14:6, Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."
Lastly, we want to encourage your husband to seek godly counsel and support during this time. If possible, he should reach out to his pastor or a trusted Christian friend to talk about his struggles and receive prayer and encouragement. In Galatians 6:2, the WEB says, "Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ." We are called to support and encourage one another in our faith, and we pray that your husband finds the support he needs during this time.
Please continue to pray for him and trust in the Lord's provision and healing. We will be praying for him as well.
