We are truly saddened to hear about the health struggles that Matthew Masih is facing. It's important to remember that God is our ultimate healer and comforter. As it is written in the World English Bible (WEB), "Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven." (James 5:14-15)
Let us join together in prayer for Matthew's healing and comfort:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you today to lift up our brother Matthew Masih. Lord, you know his struggles with his fatty liver and high uric acid levels. We ask that you touch his body and heal him completely. Give him strength and comfort during this time of illness. Guide the doctors and medical professionals treating him, giving them wisdom and discernment. In the name of Jesus Christ, we rebuke any sickness and disease, and we proclaim healing over Matthew's body.
Lord, we also pray for his wife, Hormorphos, that you would give her peace and strength during this time. Help her to trust in you and to cast all her anxieties onto you, knowing that you care for her and Matthew.
Father, we also want to take this time to pray for their spiritual health. We pray that Matthew and Hormorphos would both draw closer to you during this time, seeking your face and your will for their lives. We pray that they would be filled with your Holy Spirit, enabling them to live lives that are pleasing to you.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
Hormorphos, we encourage you to continue to trust in the Lord and to seek him in all things. Remember the words of Psalm 28:7, "Yahweh is my strength and my shield. My heart has trusted in him, and I am helped. Therefore my heart greatly rejoices. With my song I will thank him."
We also want to remind you of the importance of praying in the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through his name that we have access to the Father and can receive salvation. As it is written in Acts 4:12, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" If you or Matthew have not already done so, we encourage you both to put your faith and trust in Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins and for eternal life.
May the peace and love of God be with you both during this time.
