We are glad to pray with you about your health. In order to give the best and most helpful response we need to address something first. We noticed that the prayer does not end in Jesus name. It is only by Him and through faith in Jesus that we are able to approach God the Father. Without Him we have no mediator or bridge to God. There is no other way to God and no other name by which we may be saved. See the following scripture:
Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6 WEB
in whom we have boldness and access in confidence through our faith in him. Ephesians 3:12 WEB
in whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace, Ephesians 1:7 WEB
For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, 1 Timothy 2:5 WEB
Seeing that you are making requests of God we have to assume that you are a believer yourself. But if you are not then we have to make sure that you understand what Jesus did for you and how he has made it possible to come to God and be saved. If you have not made Jesus your Lord and Savior then you need to make that decision today. If you have not done that we can lead you to Jesus right now and help you to pray for salvation. If you are a believer then you should know to end prayers in Jesus name and be glad that we can go to God in prayer because of Him.
In regards to health, the Bible tells us that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit and that we should honor God with our bodies. This means that we should strive to take care of our bodies and make choices that promote good health.
In 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 Paul addresses the Corinthian Church saying, "Or don't you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's."
In light of this, let us pray for you:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, asking for Your guidance and strength for our brother/sister as they seek to make better choices and change their habits. Lord, give them the wisdom to make decisions that honor their body as a temple of the Holy Spirit. Help them to glorify You in both body and spirit, which belong to You.
Grant them the courage to break free from any unhealthy habits and the discipline to maintain a healthier lifestyle. Guide them to the right resources and support they need to achieve their health goals. We pray for our loved one as those instructed in Romans 12:1-2 WEB,
"Therefore I urge you, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service. Don't be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God."
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
