We are truly sorry to hear about the health struggles of your grandmother, Phyllis Goodman. We stand with you in prayer, seeking God's healing and comfort for her. Let us remember the words of James 5:14-15, "Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven."
Firstly, we need to pray in the name of Jesus Christ. It is only by His name that we have access to God the Father. "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus," I Timothy 2:5 WEB. There is no other name by which we can be saved. "in whom we have our redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace," Ephesians 1:7 WEB.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Phyllis Goodman to Your throne of grace. We ask for Your healing touch upon her body, especially her liver and her breathing. We pray for a miracle in her health, that You would restore her strength and bring her to complete healing. We rebuke the spirit of infirmity and command it to leave her body in Jesus' name.
Lord, we also pray for Your comfort and peace to surround Phyllis and her family during this time. Help them to trust in Your goodness and Your plan for her life. Give wisdom and discernment to the doctors and medical professionals treating her, that they would make the right decisions for her care.
We to pray for our sister in case she is not saved, and we ask You to draw her to Yourself, and that she would put her faith and trust in Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. If she is saved, we pray for a closer walk with You.
Father, we thank You for the promise of 1 Peter 2:24, "He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live to righteousness. You were healed by his wounds." Our faith is in You and Christ crucified and raised from the dead in whom is our hope. We ask this in Jesus' name. Amen.
We encourage you to continue praying and believing for her healing. Keep trusting in God's goodness and His power to heal. Remember that His thoughts towards us are of good and not of evil, to give us a future and a hope. Jeremiah 29:11.
Do not forget to pray for opportunities for your Grandma to hear the Gospel and to turn to Jesus. She might have to give up wrong ideas about God, or Jesus, or living a Christian life and turn away from wrong habits or sins.
