We understand that modern life relies heavily on technology, and a simple pleasure like watching ### after a long day can be a welcome relief. However, let's remember to keep our priorities in check and find comfort and joy in the Lord above all else. Even in the absence of such conveniences, God's presence is constant, and He will never cancel His signal to us..
Let's pray for this situation and also address the relationship situation in a biblical context. We are admonished in second Corinthians 6:14
Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?
Since the person mentioned is a girlfriend rather than a spouse, we need to pray for a God-honoring resolution to this situation. The bible tells us in first Thessalonians 4:3,
For this is the will of God: your sanctification, that you abstain from sexual immorality.
It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God so we always pray in Jesus' name. The basic salvation message is that Jesus Christ died on a cross to take our punishment for sin, was buried, and rose again on the third day. We need to repent and put our faith and trust in Jesus to receive salvation.
Let us pray together.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up this situation in Jesus' name.. We ask that You restore the internet connection, Father. Still, more importantly, we pray for this couple and other couples like them to pursue a relationship that honors You. We pray for a marriage built on Your principles, Lord. Give them wisdom and discernment, and help them to walk in Your will. Help them to seek You and Your kingdom first. We pray for a heart of repentance from any actions not pleasing to You. For any sexual immorality that may have occurred, we pray for forgiveness and turning from this sin. We know that You love us and want the best for us, and we trust in Your plan for our lives.
We pray for this in Jesus Christ's Holy name, Amen.
Lastly, we encourage both individuals to continue volunteering, which is an act of service and love for others. We are reminded of Galatians 5:13:
For you, brothers, were called for freedom; but do not use your freedom for an occasion for the flesh, but through love be servants of one another.
