We are truly saddened to hear about your friend's involvement in witchcraft, but we are encouraged by your faithfulness in interceding for her. Let's remember what the WEB says in 1 Corinthians 10:20-21: "But I say that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to demons and not to God, and I don't want you to have fellowship with demons. You can't both drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons. You can't both partake of the table of the Lord and of the table of demons." Witchcraft, no matter how it is portrayed, is not from God and opens doors to the demonic realm.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our friend who has been deceived by the lies of the enemy. Lord, You alone have power and authority over all, and we ask that You open her eyes to the truth. Help her to see that witchcraft, whether labeled as light or dark, is evil and separates her from You.
Father, we pray that You would bring her to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. Reveal to her the surpassing greatness of knowing Him and the power of His resurrection. Show her that everything she is seeking in witchcraft can only be found in a deep, intimate relationship with You through Jesus Christ the Lord.
We rebuke the spirits of deception and witchcraft that have influenced her, and we ask that You bind them and command them to leave in the name of Jesus. Surround her with Your love and protection, and send people into her life who will speak Your truth and model Your love.
We know that it is only by the name of Jesus that your friend has access to God. There is no other name by which she can be saved. As it is written in Acts 4:12: "There is salvation in none other, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved!"
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Be encouraged, for God is faithful and His desire is for all to come to the knowledge of the truth. Continue to pray fervently for your friend and trust that God is at work in her life. Share the gospel with her and let her know how much you care for her. If you have an opportunity, also share the beautiful salvation message of believing in Jesus Christ. To believe in Jesus means more than just acknowledging that He exists. It means trusting in Him, depending on Him, and committing your life to Him. When we believe in Jesus, we accept His teachings, follow His commands, and strive to live according to His example. This is the path to salvation and eternal life.
