Dear Cydsyc,
We lift your father up in prayer, trusting that God will restore him back to the Lord and to your family. We stand together with you, believing that God can bring about a miraculous change in his life.
Firstly, let us pray:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, interceding for our brother's father. Lord, we ask that You remove the scales from his eyes, that he may see the truth of Your love and the deception of the enemy. Break every chain, every bondage, and every stronghold that has held him captive. Rebuke and destroy the spirits of Jezebel and Leviathan, and any influence of witchcraft or false love. Reveal to him the counterfeit nature of the life he has been living, and forgive him of his sins, temptations, and lust.
Lord, restore him back to his original design and purpose as a loving husband, father, and head of the household. We claim Your promise in Joel 2:25-26, 'I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten.' Restore him back to You and to his family. Let him come back home to us. In Jesus' name, we declare that he will be freed and released to God, and restored into our family before the year ends. We will not leave this year fruitless, for we trust in Your power and goodness. In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen."
We encourage you to continue standing in faith, believing that God can bring about a wonderful restoration. Remember, God's desire is that none should perish but that all should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9). Keep declaring God's promises over your father's life, such as those found in Ezekiel 36:26, "A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh."
Continue to pray fervently, as James 5:16 tells us, "The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man accomplishes much." Trust that God is working, even when you can't see it. We stand with you in this spiritual battle, knowing that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms (Ephesians 6:12).
Lastly, we commend you for praying in the name of Jesus, for it is in His name that we have access to God (John 14:6). Continue to trust in Him, and we believe that you will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living (Psalm 27:13).
