We are truly saddened to hear about your daughter's struggle with alcohol and the impact it's having on her family. We stand with you in prayer and believe that God is able to bring healing and restoration to her and your family.
Firstly, we want to remind you that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. As it says in the WEB Acts 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up our sister and her daughter who is struggling with alcohol. Lord, we know that this is a powerful stronghold, but we also know that You are more powerful. We stand on Your promise that says, "Is anything too hard for Yahweh?" (Genesis 18:14 WEB).
Father, we pray that You would break the chains of addiction in her daughter's life. We pray for her deliverance, that she may be set free from this bondage, IJN. We ask that You would give her the strength to overcome this addiction and that You would restore her family. We pray for the life changing power of salvation through Jesus Christ to take hold of her life.
We also pray for our sister, that You would give her the strength and wisdom to support her daughter through this difficult time. Help her to speak words of life and truth to her daughter, and to be a source of comfort and encouragement. Surround their family with Your love and protection, and bring them through this trial stronger and more united than ever.
We rebuke the destroyer from her daughter's life. "The thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy. I have come that they may have life, and may have it abundantly." (John 10:10 WEB). Lord Jesus, we ask that You would give her daughter life, and life abundantly.
We ask this all in the precious name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
Please know that you are not alone in this struggle. God is with you, and He is faithful. Remember the promise in 1 Corinthians 10:13 WEB, "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it."
We encourage you to seek godly counsel and support from your local church or a Christian-based recovery program. It's important to have a community of believers around you and your daughter during this time.
