We are grateful for your prayer request, Helwen, and we stand with you in petitioning our Lord on behalf of your daughter. We trust in the Lord's perfect will for her life and His timing in bringing the right husband for her.
Firstly, we want to remind you of the power of praying in Jesus' name. As it is written in John 14:6 WEB: "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me,'" and in John 16:23 WEB: "Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you." It is through Jesus that we have access to God, and it is in His name that we should pray.
Now let us pray together:
Please pray this prayer along with us: Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up Helwen's daughter to You. You know her heart and her desires, Lord. We pray that You will mold her into the woman You created her to be, a woman who loves children and, most importantly, loves You with all her heart, soul, mind, and strength.
Father, we ask that You prepare her for marriage, giving her the virtues outlined in Proverbs 31, and that You will bring a godly husband into her life in Your perfect timing. Let him be a man who loves You and can support his family, his wife, and his children, knowing that this is honorable to you:
Let his actions of God's goodness, as a true Christian believer, be evident to her:
Lord, we ask that their marriage will be a reflection of Christ's love for His church, a love that is pure, unselfish, present all the time, and built on a mutual love and respect for each other and for God. We rebuke any temptation to accept a lesser relationship for the godly marriage that she deserves and desires for her and her children. Lord, we ask that you please protect her for temptation, to not take part in any intimate relationship before marriage, helping her to remain pure, knowing that her body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, according to 1 Corinthians 6:18 WEB:
We also ask that you protect her from the evil one, to 'not to allow her to be tempted beyond what she is able, but with the temptation also make the way of escape, that she may be able to endure it,' as outlined in 1 Corinthians 10:13.
Now, while we are waiting on your perfect timing, Dear Lord, help her to be a godly mother to their children, instilling in them a love for You and for others.
Lord, we also pray for her future husband. Prepare his heart, Lord, and make him a godly man ready for the godly marriage you have prepared for him. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you and your daughter to continue to pray for her desired outcome, but remind her that the 'desires of her heart' should align with the desires that God puts in her heart (Psalm 37:4). It should not be about the desires of her herself but what God wants for her.
Lastly, we encourage her to be fruitful and multiply, following the commandment of the Lord in Genesis 1:28 WEB which states to "Be fruitful, multiply, fill the earth, and subdue it. Have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the sky, and over every living thing that moves upon the earth." Let her children be raised in a godly fashion and let be the teaching of the Lord.
Now, as we close, let us remember that Biblical precept that trusting in the Lord to provide a godly spouse and godly marriage is a very important life lesson and witness to others. Let us remember, also, Proverbs 3:5 WEB, 'Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don't lean upon your own understanding.'
