Firstly, we must remember that God's will is for us to be in relationships that honor Him. If this young man is a believer in Christ and they were pursuing a godly relationship, we pray that God would guide them and make His will clear in their lives. However, we must also be mindful of the biblical principles regarding relationships. In 2 Corinthians 6:14 (WEB), it is written, "Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship do righteousness and iniquity have? Or what communion does light have with darkness?" So, we pray that if this is not a godly relationship, that the Lord would give your daughter the discernment and strength to let it go.
Regarding your daughter's confusion and distance, let's pray with the words of Psalm 143:8 (WEB), "Cause me to hear your loving kindness in the morning, for I trust in you. Cause me to know the way in which I should walk, for I lift up my soul to you." We pray that God would guide her steps and give her a heart that is open to His will.
We also want to remind you of the importance of praying in Jesus' name. As it is written in John 14:13-14 (WEB), "Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it." It is through Jesus that we have access to the Father, and there is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12).
