Thank you for bringing your concerns to us. We will pray together for your son and your friend, trusting that God has a plan and a purpose for their lives.
Let us remember together the words of Proverbs 16:3 WEB: "Commit your works to Yahweh, and your plans shall be established." It is crucial to commit our ways to the Lord and trust in His timing and provision.
We acknowledge the importance of work, as it is through God that we receive the ability to create wealth. Deuteronomy 8:18 WEB: "But you shall remember Yahweh your God, for it is he who gives you power to get wealth; that he may confirm his covenant which he swore to your fathers, as it is today."
It is also important to remember the words of Colossians 3:23-24 WEB: "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You serve the Lord Christ."
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up the son and friend of the one who submitted this request. We ask that You guide them in their job search, opening doors that no man can shut, and providing them with work that aligns with Your will for their lives. Help them to trust in Your timing and provision, and to commit their ways to You.
We pray for endurance and faith especially if the job search has been long. Help them to remember that You are faithful and that You provide for Your children. Help them to look for Godly employers as they look for work. Pray for the salvation of their bosses and coworkers, and to be a positive light for the Gospel in the marketplace.
We ask these things in accordance with Your will, in Jesus' name. Amen.
We encourage both of them to be persistent and trusting in prayer. James 5:16 WEB says: "The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much."
If you or your son and friend have any additional questions or need further guidance, please feel free to ask. We also encourage your son and friend to submit their own prayer requests. Continue to pray together for all of your needs.
